Blog Hop Stop #2: Year to Remember

Welcome to my blog, your second stop today!  I will include links to all the contributors, as well as the Creative Memories blog, at the end of this post.  If you would like to WIN the entire Year to Remember collection, leave a comment on the CM blog about how you would use these papers and embellishments.  (I love to see comments here, but to win this month's prize you need to comment on the CM blog.)

If you have a year's worth of pictures to put in an album (from 2015, 2005, 1975, or whenever!), you'll want to order CM's Year to Remember collection. These colorful papers, stickers and embellishments will help you organize your album in a monthly format. Of course, we encourage creativity over here (!!) and you can use the items however you like. To get some ideas flowing, hop through the blogs to see what we came up with.  (By the way, I refer to it as Y2R collection for short)

Because my May calendar turned out to be a busy page,  I made the opposite page a little simpler.  I used tan cardstock from the Neutral pack to accent my photos. And for the journaling box, I punched a filmstrip border using the Border Maker system, then trimmed away most of it, leaving just the perforated edge, which then looks like notebook paper.

I created this fun doodad by cutting a circle with the Custom Cutting System and adding a sticker from the Y2R collection. Tucked under it are tiny tags from the Y2R embellishments pack. Yay for color coordinated collections!! No need to hunt through my stash of stuff.

The border was created using the flower chain cartridge. Then I topped it with stickers from the Y2R sticker pack.  You could use these on the calendar to highlight important dates, or just to dress up your pages. Those square patterned stickers are also included and fit perfectly in the calendar spaces!

For this layout, I combined a calendar grid page from Year to Remember, with papers and slide-in cards from the Fresh Picks collection - these are possibly the most beautiful designs we've seen from the new CM!  The butterfly is cut from one of the Fresh Picks papers, and the border is made with the flower chain cartridge.

On this page, I used a slide-in card for journaling, and accented it with words cut from another slide-in card.

One of the great things about these calendar pages is that you can record everything that happened that month, including the things you don't have photos for (for me it was the kids' band concert - oops.)  That way you can still remember that it was an important event.

Now I will send you on your way to Diana's blog for more ideas. Below are a list of all the bloggers contributing today; be sure to stop by each one:
