Creative Life Scrapbooking: Spring Blog Hop

It's hard to believe spring is nearly behind us - especially since Midwesterners like me waited so long for spring this year - it was still snowing in late April!

Back a few years ago, my family lived in Madagascar, below the equator, where the seasons were reversed, so March and April weather was hot, and June/July/August cooled off.  So we celebrated spring with outdoor fun and even swimming.  Here are a few spring pages I just made for my family book from that time.

I have been focusing on simple pages, using CM spargo refills and scrapping right on the page, not always covering every inch. This is how I used to scrapbook, and I kind of missed it. I have been reminding myself that not every page has to be a work of art!  Instead of paging through my idea book or scrolling through Pinterest, I just look at my photos, the colors, then find papers and stickers  in my stash, and just begin.

In the style of my friend Noreen Smith, this layout uses only ONE piece of designer paper (half is one side, half is the other side) and ONE piece of cardstock, plus some stickers, all CM.  Cardstock is Leaf Green, paper is from the sold out Secret Garden collection. Stickers are Holiday/Seasonal Classic stickers. I stuck everything right onto the Spargo pages. Took me about 10 minutes!

I LOVE the seasonal and holiday classic stickers, they're these beautiful watercolor images
These are merely strips of paper of various lengths, with a punched border along the top.  They bring a continuity across the layout even if the patterns don't line up. Papers/mats: the retired Slice of Summer collection, Sky & Water pack. Stickers: Seasonal Classics.

Again, these stickers - images we can all relate to - classics!
Anybody have the Outdoor Blues paper pack that CM had for advisors to gift to their customers?  It's perfect for everyday photos and I've nearly used mine up!  Sticker letters are various CM.

Did not have any yard sale embellishments (shocking, right?) so I made cardboard moving boxes with this cool textured paper I had on hand, and stuck them on with foam squares!
